The PremRose Story

PremRose Edibles is located on a family owned farm in the wooded hills of Oregon's southern Willamette Valley. Our farm provides the perfect setting for the hardy fragrant naturally grown roses used in PremRose Edibles products.

Our farm has been committed to organic methods of land management since 1962.

Prem means love in Sanskrit. The rose has been many things in many cultures for countless ages: food, medicine, inspiration for poets and lovers, ever a symbol of pure love. Chocolate too, has long been a harbinger of love and the gift of lovers. It invokes passion and depth of sensual experience through its divine taste. Naturally high in antioxidants, dark chocolate is now considered a health food too. Prem is the first ingredient in every product. We have been making rose petal jam and chocolate truffles since 1982. Our Rose Petal Jam is made from roses that are grown without the use of any chemical sprays or fertilizers.

Chocolates and Roses

Linda Shumate is a graduate of the Ecole Chocolat Professional School of Chocolate Arts in Vancouver B.C. She started her career at the age of nine cooking and creating new unique combinations of food. Her love was to create dishes that satisfied her family and those around her.

"I love to cook. My fulfillment comes from creating foods that are healthful and give the immediate response of joy and satisfaction. This is what I love, filling the soul with culinary bliss.

"The roses used in PremRose products are an old species of Rugosa that grow on our family farm. The mother bush is nearly 40 years old. All of our working roses have been made from cuttings of the original bushes. We have 8 giants that produce masses of lovely fragrant blooms during the growing season.

"We have planted over 100 new plants. PremRose Organic Rose Petal Jam and Rose Petal Chocolates are seasonal. We encourage you to place your order now.
